Death toll near 500; 1,222 new COVID-19 cases today

The state health department has confirmed eleven more deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 499.

 

The patients were:

 

  • Man in his 80s from Cass County.
  • Man in his 80s from Dickey County.
  • Man in his 90s from Emmons County.
  • Man in his 80s from Logan County.
  • Man in his 50s from Stutsman County.
  • Man in his 60s from McLean County.
  • Man in his 70s from Oliver County.
  • Man in his 60s from Ransom County.
  • Woman in her 80s from Ward County.
  • Man in his 90s from Ward County.
  • Woman in her 80s from Ward County. 

 
1,222 new individuals from 49 counties have also tested positive for COVID-19 in North Dakota, bringing the new statewide positive total to 41,130.

 

These results were from a pool of 8,402 tests for a daily positive rate of 15.62 percent.

845,567 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 289,520 unique individuals have been tested. 

 

According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 184 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19, and 287 individuals are hospitalized with the virus. There have been 1,547 hospitalizations total.

 

Since yesterday 550 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 33,860. This leaves 6,771 active confirmed cases.
