Eight new deaths; 713 new infections as active COVID cases top 4,700

The state health department has confirmed eight more deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 365.

 

The patients were:

 

  • Woman in her 70s from Bowman County with underlying health conditions.
  • Man in his 80s from Burleigh County with underlying health conditions.
  • Man in his 80s from LaMoure County with underlying health conditions.
  • Man in his 90s from LaMoure County with underlying health conditions.  
  • Man in his 80s from LaMoure County with underlying health conditions.
  • Man in his 50s from McLean County with underlying health conditions.
  • Man in his 80s from McIntosh County with underlying health conditions.
  • Man in his 60s from Mercer County with underlying health conditions.

 
Additionally, 713 new individuals from 44 counties have tested positive for COVID-19 in North Dakota, bringing the new statewide positive total to 28,947.

 

These results were from a pool of 7,797 tests for a daily positive rate of 9.54 percent.

730,902 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 263,233 unique individuals have been tested. 

 

According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 132 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19, and 206 individuals are hospitalized with the virus. There have been 1,159 hospitalizations total.

 

There have been 23,823 recoveries. This leaves 4,759 active confirmed cases.
