Four more deaths, 662 new infections as active COVID-19 cases approach 6,000

The state health department has confirmed four more deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 408.

 

The patients were:

 

  • Man in his 70s from Burleigh County with underlying health conditions.
  • Man in his 40s from Burleigh County with underlying health conditions.
  • Woman in her 80s from Hettinger County with underlying health conditions.
  • Man in his 100s from Towner County with underlying health conditions.

 
Additionally, 662 new individuals from 47 counties have tested positive for COVID-19 in North Dakota, bringing the new statewide positive total to 32,637.

 

These results were from a pool of 8,452 tests for a daily positive rate of 8.17 percent.

770,510 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 272,737 unique individuals have been tested. 

 

According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 153 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19, and 205 individuals are hospitalized with the virus. There have been 1,267 hospitalizations total.

 

There have been 26,392 recoveries. This leaves 5,837 active confirmed cases.
