ND COVID-19: 640 new cases, three deaths

Three more North Dakotans have passed away with the novel coronavirus, bringing the statewide death toll to 339.

 

The patients were:

 

  • Man in his 100s from Emmons County with underlying health conditions.
  • Man in his 70s from Kidder County with underlying health conditions.
  • Woman in her 70s from Stark County with underlying health conditions.

 
Additionally, 640 new individuals from 46 counties have tested positive for COVID-19 in North Dakota, bringing the new statewide positive total to 27,265.

 

These results were from a pool of 7,870 tests for a daily positive rate of 8.51 percent.

712,136 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 259,036 unique individuals have been tested. 

 

According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 144 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19, and 231 individuals are hospitalized with the virus. There have been 1,076 hospitalizations total.

 

There have been 22,500 recoveries. This leaves 4,426 active confirmed cases.
