ND Health Department confirms 527 more coronavirus cases, five deaths

The state health department has confirmed five additional deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 461.

 

The patients were:

 

  • Man in his 70s from Burleigh County.
  • Man in his 70s from Cass County.
  • Man in his 80s from Ramsey County.
  • Man in his 30s from Sioux County.
  • Woman in her 80s from Williams County.

 
527 new individuals from 43 counties have also tested positive for COVID-19 in North Dakota, bringing the new statewide positive total to 38,241.

 

These results were from a pool of 6,660 tests for a daily positive rate of 8.28 percent.

822,605 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 284,478 unique individuals have been tested. 

 

According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 173 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19, and 256 individuals are hospitalized with the virus. There have been 1,437 hospitalizations total.

 

Since yesterday 431 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 31,334. This leaves 6,446 active confirmed cases.
