Six more dead; 1,096 new coronavirus infections statewide

The state health department has confirmed six more deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 887.

The patients were:

* Man in his 70s from Cass County.
* Woman in her 70s from Cass County.
* Man in his 60s from Richland County.
* Woman in her 50s from Ward County. 
* Man in his 90s from Ward County.
* Man in his 70s from Williams County.

1,096 new individuals from 44 counties have also tested positive for COVID-19 in North Dakota, bringing the new statewide positive total to 75,478.

These results were from a pool of 9,586 tests for a daily positive rate of 12.31 percent.

The cases broken down by county are:

1,102,420 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 342,835 unique individuals have been tested.

According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 297 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19, and 377 individuals are hospitalized with the virus. There have been 2,587 hospitalizations total.

Since yesterday 1,102 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 65,976. This leaves 8,615 active confirmed cases.
