State confirms 341 new COVID-19 cases, five deaths

The state health department has confirmed five more deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 1,334.

 

The patients were: 

 

  • Man in his 90s from Benson County.
  • Woman in her 100s from Burleigh County.
  • Woman in her 60s from Cass County.
  • Woman in her 60s from Cass County.
  • Woman in her 80s from Morton County.

 

Deaths are reported to the state health department by facilities or by official death record, and can take up to ten days to be confirmed. 

 

341 new individuals from 44 counties have tested positive for COVID-19 in North Dakota, bringing the new statewide positive total to 93,832.

 

These results were from a pool of 6,969 tests for a daily positive rate of 5.39 percent.

 

247 of those positives were PCR tests, and 94 were antigen tests.

1,381,931 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 380,866 unique individuals have been tested.

 

85 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.

 

Since yesterday 208 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 90,511. This leaves 1,987 active confirmed cases.
