136 new cases of COVID-19 in ND today


Two more individuals have passed away with COVID-19 in North Dakota, bringing the statewide death toll to 128.

The patients were a man in his 100s from Grand Forks County and a woman in her 80s from Burleigh County. They both had underlying health conditions.

Additionally, 136 new individuals from 19 counties have also tested positive for the novel coronavirus, bringing the new statewide positive total to 8,782. These results are from a pool of 1,876 tests for a daily positive rate of 7.2 percent.

187 individuals who have tested positive since last Friday were from serial (or repeat) testing.

Burleigh County once again lead with the most new cases found, with 50. Morton County had 18 new cases. There were twelve new cases in both Cass and Ward Counties. Stark County had eight new cases. Grand Forks and Walsh Counties each had six new cases. There were five new cases found in Sioux County, and four found in Williams County. Benson and McLean Counties each had three new cases. Golden Valley County had two new cases. Adams, Barnes, Divide, Eddy, Mountrail, Rolette and Stutsman Counties each had one new case apiece.

401,876 tests have been administered. 180,928 unique individuals have been tested.

There are currently 47 people hospitalized with COVID-19. There have been 469 total hospitalizations.

There have been 7,485 recoveries. This leaves 1,169 active confirmed cases.
