ND COVID-19: 1 death, 139 new cases; active cases surpass 500

The state health department has confirmed 139 new cases of COVID-19, and one related death.

The state health department has confirmed one more death related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 1,540.

Deaths are reported to the state health department by facilities or by official death record, and can take up to ten days to be confirmed.

According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 139 new individuals from 22 counties have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the new statewide positive total to 111,699.

These results were from a pool of 2,560 tests for a daily positive rate of 5.72 percent.

77 of those positives were PCR tests, and 62 were antigen tests.

The cases broken down by county are:

2,115,931 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 454,356 unique individuals have been tested.

15 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.

Since yesterday 70 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 109,786. This leaves 511 active confirmed cases.
