Pandemic intensifying; 463 new cases confirmed, 1 related death

One more North Dakotan has passed away with COVID-19, as 463 individuals have tested positive.

The state health department has confirmed one more death related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 1,561.

Deaths are reported to the state health department by facilities or by official death record, and can take up to ten days to be confirmed.

According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 463 individuals from 42 counties have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the new statewide positive total to 117,955.

These results were from a pool of 8,220 tests for a daily positive rate of 5.91 percent.

273 of those positives were PCR tests, and 190 were antigen tests.

The cases broken down by county are:

2,224,231 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 470 unique individuals have been tested.

135 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.

Since yesterday 240 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 113,952. This leaves 2,442 active confirmed cases.
