State health department confirms 2 deaths, 445 new cases of COVID-19

Two more North Dakotans have passed away with COVID-19, while 445 more individuals have tested positive.

The state health department has confirmed two more deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 1,564.

Deaths are reported to the state health department by facilities or by official death record, and can take up to ten days to be confirmed.

According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 445 individuals from 39 counties have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the new statewide positive total to 118,931.

These results were from a pool of 8,417 tests for a daily positive rate of 5.53 percent.

223 of those positives were PCR tests, and 222 were antigen tests.

The cases broken down by county are:

2,241,040 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 473,011 unique individuals have been tested.

105 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.

Since yesterday 238 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 114,459. This leaves 2,908 active confirmed cases.
