579 new cases; 4 COVID-19 related deaths confirmed

North Dakota’s death toll rises to 1,584 as active cases continue to mount.

The state health department has confirmed four more deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 1,584.

Deaths are reported to the state health department by facilities or by official death record, and can take up to ten days to be confirmed.

According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 579 individuals from 43 counties have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the new statewide positive total to 124,620.

These results were from a pool of 10,415 tests for a daily positive rate of 5.84 percent.

270 of those positives were PCR tests, and 309 were antigen tests.

2,333,860 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 488,259 unique individuals have been tested.

107 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.

Since yesterday 396 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 119,614. This leaves 3,422 active confirmed cases.
