ND COVID-19: 495 new cases, 1 death

North Dakota’s death toll is now 1,586.

The state health department has confirmed one more death related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 1,586.

Deaths are reported to the state health department by facilities or by official death record, and can take up to ten days to be confirmed.

According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 495 individuals from 43 counties have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the new statewide positive total to 125,598.

These results were from a pool of 9,462 tests for a daily positive rate of 5.57 percent.

254 of those positives were PCR tests, and 241 were antigen tests.

2,353,594 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 490,880 unique individuals have been tested.

133 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.

Since yesterday 511 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 120,534. This leaves 3,478 active confirmed cases.
