The state health department has confirmed six more deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 2,002.
Deaths are reported to the state health department by facilities or by official death record, and can take up to ten days to be confirmed.
According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 420 individuals from 35 counties have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the new statewide positive total to 171,966.
These results were from a pool of 3,610 tests for a daily positive rate of 12.23 percent.
210 of those positives were PCR tests, and 210 were antigen tests.
3,045,427 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 560,305 unique individuals have been tested.
109 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.
Since yesterday 305 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 167,982. This leaves 1,982 active confirmed cases.
