ND COVID-19: 801 new positives, five more dead

North Dakota's death toll is now 2,012.

The state health department has confirmed five more deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 2,012.

Deaths are reported to the state health department by facilities or by official death record, and can take up to ten days to be confirmed.

According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 801 individuals from 40 counties have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the new statewide positive total to 174,175.

These results were from a pool of 9,259 tests for a daily positive rate of 9.25 percent.

379 of those positives were PCR tests, and 422 were antigen tests.

3,071,398 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 563,516 unique individuals have been tested.

127 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.

Since yesterday 583 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 170,135. This leaves 2,082 active confirmed cases.
