Health department confirms 723 COVID-19 cases this week

The case rate per 100,000 people is 95.

North Dakota’s COVID-19 cases are slightly increasing each week, although hospitalizations are down slightly.

Last week, the state health department confirmed 613 cases from the previous week. This week, the department’s coronavirus dashboard confirmed 723 new cases statewide. This averages out to about 103 new cases per day.

Most of the new cases were found in Cass County, with 255 new cases confirmed. 76 cases were confirmed in Grand Forks County, 54 in Burleigh County and 38 in Ward County.

The dashboard indicates North Dakota’s case rate per 100,000 people as 95. Last week it was 80.

In the last seven days, 31 new COVID-19 patients were admitted to hospitals. As of today, 46 inpatient beds and four ICU beds are currently occupied with COVID patients.
