1 more COVID-19 death in ND; active cases now over 900

One more North Dakotan has passed away with COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 97.

The patient was a man in his 70s with underlying health conditions. He was from Burleigh County.

Additionally, 128 new individuals from 21 counties have tested positive for the novel coronavirus in North Dakota. The total number of people who have tested positive since the pandemic began is 5,493. These results are from a pool of 4,318 tests for a daily positive rate of 3 percent.

Burleigh County had 48 new cases. There were 19 new cases in Cass County, and eleven new cases in both Morton and Ward Counties. Williams County had eight, Benson had six, and Grand Forks County had five. McKenzie County had three new cases. There were two new cases in Bowman, Eddy, Ramsey and Stark Counties. Bottineau, Cavalier, Kidder, McHenry, McLean, Mountrail, Richland, Rolette and Walsh Counties each had one new case apiece.

A total of 275,255 tests have been completed for COVID-19 in the state. 140,816 unique individuals have been tested overall.

57 people are currently hospitalized with COVID-19. There have been 322 total hospitalizations.

There have been 4,475 recoveries. There are 921 active cases in the state.
