142 new coronavirus infections; one additional death

The state health department has confirmed one more death related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 1,464.

 

The patient was a woman in her 80s from Ward County. 

 

Deaths are reported to the state health department by facilities or by official death record, and can take up to ten days to be confirmed. 

 

According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 142 new individuals from 17 counties have tested positive for COVID-19 in North Dakota, bringing the new statewide positive total to 102,001.

 

These results were from a pool of 5,336 tests for a daily positive rate of 3.66 percent.

 

77 of those positives were PCR tests, and 65 were antigen tests.

 

The cases broken down by county are:

 

 

 

1,760,554 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 412,421 unique individuals have been tested.

 

19 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.

 

Since yesterday 85 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 99,743. This leaves 794 active confirmed cases.
