ND COVID-19: 349 new cases, five additional deaths

The state health department has confirmed five more deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 1,238.

 

The patients were: 

 

  • Woman in her 70s from Barnes County.
  • Woman in her 80s from McLean County.
  • Woman in her 60s from Steele County.
  • Man in his 80s from Ward County.
  • Man in his 90s from Ward County.

 
Deaths are reported to the state health department by facilities or by official death record, and can take up to ten days to be confirmed. 

 

349 new individuals from 42 counties have tested positive for COVID-19 in North Dakota, bringing the new statewide positive total to 90,453.

 

These results were from a pool of 4,242 tests for a daily positive rate of 6.58 percent.

 

255 of those tests were PCR tests, and 94 were antigen tests.

·         McLean County – 4

·         Mercer County - 3

·         Morton County – 14

·         Mountrail County – 5

·         Nelson County – 2

1,273,761 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 370,922 unique individuals have been tested. 

 

135 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.

 

Since yesterday 413 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 86,776. This leaves 2,439 active confirmed cases.
