State confirms 3 more coronavirus deaths, 71 new cases

The state health department has confirmed three more deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 1,445.

 

Details of the patients will be released on Monday.

 

Deaths are reported to the state health department by facilities or by official death record, and can take up to ten days to be confirmed. 

 

According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 71 new individuals from 23 counties have tested positive for COVID-19 in North Dakota, bringing the new statewide positive total to 99,780.

 

These results were from a pool of 5,030 tests for a daily positive rate of 1.81 percent.

 

33 of those positives were PCR tests, and 38 were antigen tests.

 

The cases broken down by county are:

 

 

 

1,657,830 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 404,590 unique individuals have been tested.

 

21 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.

 

Since yesterday 111 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 97,678. This leaves 657 active confirmed cases.
