Learn about the history and nostalgia of high school basketball in North Dakota when you visit “Beyond the Court: Basketball Bonds North Dakota Communities” March 10-April 6 at the North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum in Bismarck.
This temporary exhibit in the Inspiration Gallery: Yesterday and Today features memorabilia from schools across North Dakota. See clothing, tournament brackets, news articles, trophies, and other items showcasing high school basketball. Stop by the State Archives to look at past editions of “The Hoopster,” state tournament programs, and other treasures. View a display of basketball photographs from throughout the years. Enjoy daily self-led activities for children and adults. Watch two Prairie Public Television documentaries, “One Shining Moment” and “Basketball, Water, and the Lost City of Elbowoods,” running continuously March 12-15 in the Great Plains Theater.

Do you love dance, food, and Nordic culture? Then you won't want to miss this! Sons of Norway Kringen Lodge and Gasper School of Dance have collaborated to bring you an event full of dance, food, and music.
Join our workshop from 3:00-5:00PM and learn some Nordic folk dances with us! All ages are welcome!
All that dancing is sure to work up an appetite, so we're preparing smørbrød sandwiches, lingenberry meatballs, cucumber salad, pasta salad, and Scandinavian treats from 5:00-6:00PM
Performances will begin at 6:00PM, showcasing our Youth and Adult dance performances and music by Kringen Accordions and Nordic Folkdanseklub Fiddlers.

FARGO, ND – Amped School of Music is excited to announce the launch of two new immersive, four-week rock band crash courses designed to get musicians playing live on stage. The new programs, the Nirvana Rock Band Crash Course and the Billie Eilish Rock Band Crash Course, are now open for registration and culminate in a live performance at the Troll Lounge in Fargo.Both ensembles are geared towards teens and adults, with the suggested ages of 13+. Musicians under 13 who have demonstrated the proficiency to perform in a rock band are also welcome to join. The bands will meet for weekly Sunday rehearsals from April 12th through May 3rd, with the final performance scheduled for Thursday, May 7th.The courses are open to vocalists, guitarists, bassists, drummers, pianists, and other instrumentalists with a basic knowledge of their instrument. Enrollment is not limited to current Amped students; any musician with a passion for live performance is welcome to join.Registration for both courses is limited to ensure a quality experience for all participants.
