The Confluence Learning Lab is a FREE monthly, one-hour program designed for children ages 8+ to explore the rich history and natural wonders of the Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center and Fort Buford. Each session focuses on a unique topic, such as Ice Age animals, glaciers, STEAM topics, regional history, life in the barracks, Lewis and Clark, indigenous history, and more. Participants will enjoy an engaging lecture about the topic, followed by a related craft, interactive game, or hands-on science experiment. This program integrates North Dakota school standards, ensuring an educational experience that blends history, nature, science, and creativity in every session.

Join us for a spine-tingling afternoon of spooky science! On October 26, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM, the whole family can enjoy hands-on activities with a Halloween twist.
Create flying ghosts, code rover spiders, take part in our scavenger hunt, join a Spooky Yoga session, and bring home fun giveaways—all included with admission.
Spooky Yoga, hosted by Soul Haven Studio, will be offered at these times:

Amped School of Music is excited to announce the launch of two new immersive, four-week rock band crash courses designed to get musicians playing live on stage. The new programs, the Pop Anthems Rock Band Crash Course and the Green Day Rock Band Crash Course, are now open for registration and culminate in a live performance at the Troll Lounge in Fargo.The Pop Anthems Rock Band Crash Course is for musicians ages 11-15 and will focus on learning and performing modern hits like Imagine Dragons' “Believer” and Taylor Swift's “Shake It Off.” The Green Day Rock Band Crash Course is tailored for musicians ages 16 and older, covering a set of the iconic band's greatest hits. Both ensembles will meet for weekly Sunday rehearsals from October 12th to November 2nd, with the final performance scheduled for Thursday, November 6th.The courses are open to vocalists, guitarists, bassists, drummers, pianists, and other instrumentalists with a basic knowledge of their instrument. Enrollment is not limited to current Amped students; any musician with a passion for live performance is welcome to join."We are thrilled to bring these new programs to the community," said Emily, owner of Amped School of Music. Science on the Rocks is back with a spooky twist!
On October 27 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM, join us and Oscar’s for an immersive night of eerie experiments and hands-on mixology. From bubbling brews to smoky concoctions, discover the science behind your favorite drinks that makes them so delightfully spooky!
Kick off the night with spellbinding demonstrations in molecular gastronomy, featuring:- Spherification tricks- Bubbly brews- Dry ice magic- Smoke effects- and MORE!
Then, step into the cocktail (and mocktail) lab where you’ll shake up your own creation! Recipes and ingredients will be provided—just bring your curiosity (and a steady hand).

The Timeless Traditions Workshop is a hands-on, one hour program held once a month, designed for children and beginner adults eager to explore the practical skills of the 19th-century frontier. Each session introduces a new skill, such as embroidery, quilting, butter-making, leatherworking, drop spindling, 3 Sisters gardening, soapstone carving/whittling (child safe version), dried herb caches, basket weaving, flint knapping, Tipi set up, ink making, paper making/journaling, rag rugs, tin lanterns, Mandan pottery, etc. Participants will learn the history behind the craft, observe a demonstration, and complete a small project using provided supplies.
