ND reports 2 more positive COVID-19 tests; 30 total cases

The North Dakota Department of Health has this evening confirmed two additional positive tests for COVID-19 in North Dakota, bringing the statewide total to 30.

One case is a woman in her 30s residing in Burleigh County who had a history of travel; the other is a man in his 40s in Pierce County that is contact related.

Governor Doug Burgum says while he is pleased with only two more positive tests, this is not the time to be complacent. He says positive cases in neighboring states are also being monitored as situations in those states unfold. He also says as many as 300 tests in Cass County have gone out, and communities should assume there are more positive cases than are officially confirmed.

Burgum continues to stress the importance of social distancing; staying home when sick, staying at least six feet away from other people, hand washing and working from home are all encouraged.
