ND COVID-19: 531 new cases, five additional related deaths

North Dakota's COVID-19 death toll is now 1,912.

The state health department has confirmed five more deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 1,912.

Deaths are reported to the state health department by facilities or by official death record, and can take up to ten days to be confirmed.

According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 531 individuals from 42 counties have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the new statewide positive total to 164,088.

These results were from a pool of 8,824 tests for a daily positive rate of 6.58 percent.

235 of those positives were PCR tests, and 296 were antigen tests.

2,906,084 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 546,168 unique individuals have been tested.

177 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.

Since yesterday 522 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 158,784. This leaves 3,392 active confirmed cases.
