The state health department has confirmed three more deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 1,996.
Deaths are reported to the state health department by facilities or by official death record, and can take up to ten days to be confirmed.
According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 416 individuals from 39 counties have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the new statewide positive total to 171,193.
These results were from a pool of 9,076 tests for a daily positive rate of 4.89 percent.
206 of those positives were PCR tests, and 210 were antigen tests.
3,035,412 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 558,913 unique individuals have been tested.
116 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.
Since yesterday 573 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 167,041. This leaves 2,156 active confirmed cases.
