According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, official confirmed cases of COVID-19 in North Dakota have increased once again.
Last week, the department confirmed 723 new cases. This week, 903 new cases were confirmed. This averages out to 129 new cases per day statewide.
Most of the new cases were in Cass County, where 261 cases were confirmed. 104 cases were found in Burleigh County, and 72 in Grand Forks County.
The dashboard indicates North Dakota’s weekly case rate per 100,000 people as 118. Last week it was 95, and the week prior it was 80.
In the last seven days 42 new COVID-19 patients were admitted to area hospitals. As of today, 50 inpatient beds and 4 ICU beds are occupied with COVID patients.
