COVID-19 cases slightly down in ND over previous week

Roughly 100 fewer cases were confirmed in the last seven days than the week prior.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in North Dakota are down slightly from last week.

According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 1,084 new cases were confirmed statewide in the last seven days. This averages out to nearly 155 new cases per day. The dashboard lists North Dakota’s case rate per 100,000 people as 142.

241 new cases were confirmed in Cass County, 102 in Grand Forks County and 98 cases in Burleigh County.

Hospitalization is also down slightly. This week, 50 new patients were admitted to area hospitals for COVID-19. The week prior, 53 patients were admitted.

Currently 46 inpatient and 4 ICU beds statewide are occupied with COVID patients.
