78 new COVID-19 cases; two deaths confirmed

The state health department has confirmed two more deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 1,233.

 

The patients were: 

 

  • Woman in her 70s from Burleigh County.
  • Man in his 70s from Ward County.

 
Deaths are reported to the state health department by facilities or by official death record, and can take up to ten days to be confirmed. 

 

78 new individuals from 21 counties have tested positive for COVID-19 in North Dakota, bringing the new statewide positive total to 90,122.

 

These results were from a pool of 1,619 tests for a daily positive rate of 4.84 percent.

 

70 of those tests were PCR tests, and 8 were antigen tests.

 

The cases broken down by county are: 

 

·        Barnes County – 1

·        Benson County – 1

·        Burleigh County - 19

·        Cass County – 16

·        Dickey County – 2

·        Dunn County - 1

·        Foster County – 1

·        Grand Forks County – 4

·        LaMoure County - 1

·        McHenry County – 1

·        McIntosh County - 2

·        McKenzie County - 1

·        McLean County – 2

·        Morton County – 5

·        Oliver County - 1

·        Rolette County – 1

·        Stark County – 2

·        Stutsman County – 9

·        Traill County – 1

·        Walsh County - 2

·        Ward County – 5

 

1,269,206 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 369,668 unique individuals have been tested. 

 

158 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.

 

Since yesterday 216 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 86,233. This leaves 2,655 active confirmed cases.
