Twin Cities singer-songwriter Mason Jennings makes frequent jaunts up I-94 to play FM Area gigs. This Sunday, June 14, he's leading a songwriter's workshop at the Jasper Hotel in Fargo at 3 p.m. There's a meet-and-greet at 5 p.m. and a Broadway Square concert at 7:30 p.m. The Great American Folk Show host and fellow Midwest musician Tom Brosseau talked with Mason about songwriting, working with Stone Gossard of Pearl Jam, and his musical influences — including, surprisingly, heavy metal.
